7 different styles of logos… Which one would suit YOUR business?
Even though all logos, regardless of type, are made up of images and powerful typography, each type of logo has its own distinct personality.
Despite the fact that each logo is unique in its own way, there are seven primary categories.
1. Emblems - A logo defined as an emblem is one that incorporates text, a symbol, or artwork inside of a geometric shape.
2. Pictorial marks (or logo symbols) - A pictorial mark or brandmark is the name for a logo that has been reduced to its symbolic meaning. Some examples of brandmark logos are Apple, Twitter, Nike, Target, and McDonald’s.
3. Wordmarks (or logotypes) - The wordmark style of logo design is effective. The logotype's definition is simple because it consists solely of the name of the business. A logotype lacks any symbols, visual designs, or emblems. The typography of the logotype is its key component.
4. Monogram logos (or lettermarks) - Lettermarks or letterform logos are a superb way to shorten the name of your company to an abbreviation. By using the initials from each word in the name of your brand, you can make a logo quickly and easily.
5. Abstract logo marks - As the name implies, an abstract logo design does not incorporate recognisable images like an apple or a bird but rather abstract geometric patterns and abstract elements.
6. Mascot logos - Mascot logos produce a similar feeling with positive meanings. They feature an illustrated representation of a real person, an imagined person, or an inanimate object. Mascot logos frequently feature vibrant colours and enjoyable designs. Sports teams, beverage corporations, and food firms frequently use mascot logos.
7. Combination marks - The combination mark logo is, as its name implies, a combination mark of multiple logo designs. The great part about this kind of dynamic mark is that if you can't decide on just one image, symbol, or abstract form, you can combine other styles of logo design.
